Kaleigh Kurtz isn't your typical NWSL success story. She's the league's "Iron Woman"—holding the record for most consecutive minutes played and embodying a journey that started as a trialist competing against 30 others for a single roster spot. This interview, produced by JWS in partnership with Amazon Prime, gave fans an intimate look at her mindset, her resilience, and the mental toughness that took her from nearly retiring to becoming one of the most reliable players in the league.
Less than six months after filming Hitachi Energy's Power Consulting video, we got the call to return to their Raleigh headquarters for another testimonial shoot. This time, the stakes were higher—we'd be capturing the story of Hitachi Energy's first-ever "Vision Partner," Stellar Energy, and their Chief Advisory Officer Marco Sanchez would be speaking directly to camera about what makes this partnership a game-changer for the global energy transition.
When Just Women's Sports reached out for production their Beyond the Game roundtable at The Spring Tournament in Chapel Hill, we knew this was more than just another shoot—it was a chance to capture an important conversation about the evolution of women's soccer and the lives of the athletes who built the foundation for today's game.
Counter Culture is Culture Magazine's signature trade event series, traveling to cities across the U.S. to connect cheese professionals in an interactive, educational setting. The Raleigh edition on April 8th, 2025, featured presentations from some of the most respected names in the industry—from Swiss staples like Le Gruyère AOP and Comté to American artisans like Chapel Hill Creamery and Sequatchie Cove Creamery.
Our assignment was to produce three distinct videos: a one-minute event recap capturing the energy and community spirit of the day, a 30-second brand sponsor video spotlighting Le Gruyère's role in the event, and a 30-60 second promotional piece for The Raleigh Wine Shop highlighting their role as the host venue.
Hitachi Energy's Power Consulting division solves the energy industry's most complex challenges, conducting detailed technical and economic studies from early network planning through operations. They needed footage that would present them as a dynamic, forward-thinking organization driving sustainable energy solutions. What started as a straightforward production request turned into one of our most rewarding corporate projects of the year.
When Viani Watches founder and NC State alum Sunny Bhathela teamed up with basketball star DJ Horne to launch a limited-edition watch celebrating Raleigh, we knew this project had to capture the spirit of NC State pride. Filming at Trailblazer Studio, we set the scene with red lighting to mirror NC State’s iconic Belltower.
Man on Fire is a documentary that delves into the story of Reverend Charles Moore, a man whose final act of protest against racial injustice shook his Texas hometown of Grand Saline. Through a series of candid interviews with local residents, the film explores the impact of Moore’s sacrifice and the complex legacy he left behind.
Inside the Base is a compelling television series that brings country music stars into the world of America’s active-duty troops. Each episode follows artists like Michael Ray, Lauren Alaina, and Craig Morgan as they train alongside soldiers, experiencing the dedication, grit, and teamwork that military service requires.
Auction Outlaws: Pick or Die is a Locals Video original docu-series that ventures into the world of antique picking in North Carolina. The pilot follows the Ledbetter family—Matt, a seasoned auctioneer, and his father Wade, who taught him the art of picking from a young age—as they navigate the highs and lows of hunting down rare finds.
Verona is a heartfelt short film that follows two young kids on an impulsive adventure, stealing their dad’s car to head toward the town of Verona. Shot over two days in Raleigh, the film captures the thrill and innocence of youthful rebellion.
To support North Carolina’s DHHS in onboarding new social workers, we collaborated with the agency to produce a documentary-style series capturing the diverse experiences within the child welfare system.
